Sir Rahi's home that was also his gallery and studio is under a severe threat of being sold as well by the perpatrators. This was confirmed when the CDA Building Commision team went on the location to inspect. A normal practice by CDA after an application is submitted for sale of a property.
It is a known fact that Sir Rahi built this house with his hard-earned money and was never interested in selling it, in fact he wanted it to be an non-commercial place for arts - where people can view his work and his belongings. Hundreds of his paintings, sketches, sketchbooks, and art material was located at this house. However, the safety of his belongings is now a major concern due to the perpetrators frequent access to the place, and attempts to liquidate.
This used to be a destination for all his art gatherings, classes, and functions. He really enjoyed his home and the RAHIS gallery.
Along with other properties - his son Danish is currently trying to save this house as well from the perpetrators and trying to stop it from getting sold. After Sir Rahi's death, his wife Hajra placed an iron barricaded door on the stairway to restrict access.
The court was able to hold the sale of this property by approving a stay order. We hope and pray that Sir Rahi's house along with his belongings will be saved.
